Next, it's softball season for Rhiannon! She's doing very well. Her team has only lost one game, and Rhiannon is having a lot of fun. Rhiannon in particular has had a very eventful couple of weeks, including a ferocious black eye. The cause of the shiner was, suprisingly, not an act of vengance taken by one of her sisters. Rhiannon slipped on the grass while trying to catch a pop-fly ball, and...here was the result.
Her eye was swollen and turned a different color every day for about 8 days. She wasn't a very happy camper, especially because she was starring in the school play, Horton Hears a Who, the exact same week. She performed well, however. She and her friends even built a "commercial" skit around her black eye, advertising "Pain Make-up! The only Make-Up you can feel!" It was a fun night. Here are some pictures from the play.
Her eye is still a little pink, but it's not affecting her personality.
Chloe's doing well, also. She lounges around all day, but it's still better than chewing up carpet. Her favorite thing to do is jam herself underneath our coffee table, an effortless task when she was a puppy, now requires a little force.
