Day one of tournament started Monday morning at 10:30. We were cheering and screaming for Rhiannon to hit us a home run, but unfortunately, Rhiannon usually gets walked to first base. (KresLynn thinks she "psyches out" the pitchers.) We beat the first team we played against (20 to 5. Woo-Hoo!) and came back again at 3:00. Maybe it was the heat, maybe it was the paid vacation time, but we were all amped for that game!
They played against the dreaded Spanish Fork team, and lost. (0-12. Not so "woo-hoo"...) It was slightly disappointing, but we still had one more chance to get back on top. The next day, the game was at 12:00. Springville vs. Manti, Score: 2-0. How does that work you ask? Simply spending a LONG time watching two great pitchers strike out the other team.
The next game was at 3:00 again, and that was a painful game to watch. The score was 2-3, and we lost. Oh, the poor, crying, disappointed tweens. Rhiannon was silent the whole way home, but she's fine now. (Probably grateful not to have to spend one more day out there in the sun. Whew!) Here's her and the team:

Why the photographer thought it would be best to put our 5 foot 4 inch girl in the front, we'll never know. However, Rhiannon managed to refrain from intentionally making faces in the pictures, so we're satisfied. :) Go Voodoo Dolls!
